RISE IN CONSUMPTION OF PACKAGED WATER IN THE CITY

There has been a visible shift in the consumption of packaged water instead of tap water in Aurangabad. Especially customers have increased their consumption of gallon water for drinking purposes in homes and events outdoors. Lalu bhai, a retailer of gallon water says that due to the impure water used by the ice block industry, people now prefer using packaged water instead. The packaged water proves not only convenient for use but also comes in affordable price. The 20 l gallon comes for a ranging price of 20 rupees to 90 rupees. Approximately 250 gallons are sold on a daily bases.

People complain about irregular water supply, impure water supply which causes inconvenience as well as health problems. Typhoid, cholera, diarrhea are some of the common problems people face due to impure tap water.
